Hive, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve “written” this post in my head! I’m still in shock from opening up that unforgettable email from Pengy saying that I would make a great addition to the team! I’m so excited and honored to BEE here and have the opportunity to share our special day with all of you! Wedding planning has definitely been a bumpy ride, and I’m so happy that while finally bringing it all to a close, I have the incredible opportunity to be Miss Buffalo!
I’m a born and raised Southern Californian and am marrying my best friend in a mountain-top outdoor ceremony where we will share our vows among our closest friends and family. Even though I was raised blocks from the beach, I’m a country girl at heart and our wedding is an example of everything we love. Mr. B and I have been together for four years, and while I can’t say that they’ve been easy, I can say that they’ve all been worth it. I’m so excited to be able to call him my husband!
So why did I choose the buffalo, you may ask? One of the great things about being at the beginning of a generation, is having your pick from ALL the icons! I must say, as many times as I went over this post in my head, I definitely thought picking my moniker would be MUCH more difficult! But when I saw the little Buffalo, I knew it was perfect! You see, Mr. B proposed to me on Catalina Island (I PROMISE, I’ll give you all a more detailed story in the next post), and despite its desert locale, Catalina Island is FAMOUS for the BUFFALO that roam about! In fact, the day he proposed, Mr. B and I saw the most buffalo I’ve ever seen on the island in all my years going there! So naturally, it was a perfect fit!
The Buffalos, the day before being engaged!
I look forward to getting to know you all, and showing you how wonderful (stressful/CRAZY/exciting) the planning process can be!
